Bootcamp Privacy Policy

This policy explains how personal data is handled for Turegano.net bootcamps.

The Controller undertakes to process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

2. Applicable law

This Privacy Policy is governed by: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).

3. Personal data collected

The following personal data may be collected:

  • Registration and expression-of-interest forms: full name, email address, phone number (optional), role and company, country, how the data subject found the bootcamp, and the bootcamps, editions, formats and schedules chosen.
  • Invoicing, whether the invoice is issued to an individual or to a company: the name of the person or company invoiced, tax ID (NIF, CIF or VAT number), billing address, email for the invoice and purchase order number or reference, if provided.
  • Payments: the amount, date and status of each payment. Card payments are processed by Square, and the Controller does not receive full card details. If a refund cannot be made to the original payment method, the bank account details provided for the transfer are also collected.
  • Online sessions: the name shown, image, voice and chat messages, including session recordings.
  • Emails and other communications related to Turegano.net Bootcamps.

No specially sensitive data is collected unless the data subject voluntarily provides it in specific contexts (for example, during group activities).

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) on the forms are required. Without them, the registration or request cannot be processed. All other fields are optional.

4. Purpose of processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes: a) managing registration and participation in Turegano.net Bootcamps; b) providing the contracted training services; c) managing communications related to the bootcamps (logistics, content, changes, etc.); d) sending payment information, confirming applicable discounts, and handling invoicing; e) complying with legal and tax obligations; f) sharing upcoming dates and updates of the bootcamps selected with those who register their interest, and informing past participants about future editions of similar bootcamps; g) recording online sessions for quality assurance, to share with participants who miss a session, and to prepare future training materials. Anyone can unsubscribe from all communications at any time by emailing curso-em@turegano.net, and every informational email explains how to do so.

5. Legal basis for processing

The legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract, or steps taken at the data subject's request before entering into one, for registrations, expressions of interest and service delivery; the Controller's legitimate interest in informing past participants about similar bootcamps (article 21.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002, LSSI) and in recording online sessions for the purposes described above; the data subject's consent, where applicable; and compliance with legal, tax, accounting, and administrative obligations.

6. Data recipients

Personal data may only be shared with the service providers needed to manage Turegano.net Bootcamps, which process it on the Controller's behalf, and with public administrations when legally required. These providers are:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): website forms, data storage in the European Union (Ireland) and email notifications.
  • Google: Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Meet) for email, documents, file storage and video calls, and Google Analytics for website analytics.
  • Zoom: video calls for online sessions.
  • Square: card payments.
  • Canva: preparation of bootcamp materials.

Data will not be transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. International data transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Amazon Web Services, Google, Zoom and Square belong to US groups: transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, or otherwise on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Canva is an Australian company, and as Australia has no EU adequacy decision, transfers to Canva rely on standard contractual clauses.

8. Data retention

Personal data is kept for as long as needed for the purposes above and, in any case, for no longer than 6 years, which covers the periods required by commercial and tax law (for example, for invoicing data). Data that is no longer needed is deleted earlier, as is the data of anyone who asks for it to be erased, unless the law requires it to be kept.

9. Data subject rights

The data subject may exercise at any time the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. To exercise these rights, a request can be sent by email to curso-em@turegano.net, clearly indicating the right to be exercised. The data subject may also withdraw any consent given, at any time, by email to curso-em@turegano.net, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. The data subject also has the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if they consider the processing does not comply with regulations.

10. Data security

The Controller adopts reasonable technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security of personal data and prevent loss, alteration, or unauthorized access.

11. Use of images and recordings

During Turegano.net Bootcamps, photographs and recordings may be taken for training and promotional purposes, in line with the Terms and Conditions. The data subject may object to this use by notifying the Controller before the start of the event.

In online editions, sessions are recorded for quality assurance, to share with participants who miss a session (for a limited time, usually one week after the session), and to prepare future training materials for internal reference only. Full recordings are shared only with the participants of the same edition and are not published. Recordings of the presenter only (slides, voice and image), with everything relating to participants removed, may be used as training material, as set out in clause 8 of the Terms and Conditions. Screenshots and recordings in which participants appear are treated in the same way as photographs. Participants may turn off their camera and choose the name shown during sessions.

12. Policy updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The current version will always be available at www.turegano.net.
